Day #79: Thursday, March 28, 2013

Cristina popped into my room this morning with this 'regalito' (little present) for me!!!

SLEEPY HEAD...I took the morning nice and slow....just like a true Sevillan!!!

The next several pictures show how PACKED Sevilla is during Semana Santa!!!

Tons of people lining the streets...this is their biggest holiday!!!

Looks like the KKK but it is actually just a typical costume for men who are in the processions.

Went to ice cream with Meredith and her sister, Natalie, and their sweet mom!

Day #78: Wednesday, March 27, 2013

We named ourselves TEAM DAVID...because the whole time we were in Florence, we tried to come up with a convenient time to see the David. Our final attempt was Wednesday morning at 8:15 (it opens at 8...and we tried to get there right at 8...but of course, we didn't make it til 8:15). Long story short, here we are standing in line to see the David...but we never actually saw it!

Last meal together before they headed to Venice and I headed back to Sevilla!

Day #77: Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Ran into Ashton in the market!!! Nothing like seeing a familiar face from Chapel Hill!

GUSTA PIZZA is open on Tuesday!!! And I drank a Sprite just for Macon...reminded me of what we used to do before Martin Middle School dances!!!

Saw Carly, an old soccer friend!

Gelato at La Carraia!!!!!!! Chocolate mousse, cookies, and extra dark chocolate....three flavors for two euros!!! What a deal!!!

Day #76: Monday, March 25, 2013

Tried to go to Gusta pizza...but it is closed on Mondays!

Went to the Oil Shop instead...and it was PHENOMINAL!!! All my friends who have studied abroad in Florence suggested it...and it is like the Florence version of Merritt's!!!!

Day #75: Sunday, March 24, 2013

We rode this bus from the "new town" to the "old town" because a landslide blocked the walking route.

Another travel day...we spent the morning in Cinque Terre and then headed to Florence!

Mackenzie took most of the pictures on our trip (shocker....Mary Carr was a little more reserved with the picturing-taking)...but I'll post what I have!!!

Started the day with a yummy breakfast!

This picture DEFINES our trip to Cinque Terre...Cherry is the short lady next to me. She was a ball of energy. And I'm not sure of the other lady's name, but she fixed eggs for us Saturday and Sunday morning. This is the little patio where we ate breakfast.
