We woke up and had a tour of Chefchaouen.
Donkeys are used to transport goods within the city.
All of the doors were blue!!
Group tours are a little challenging with 60 students...
Learned about handmade scarves and table cloths...
And natural oils!
PEOPLE everywhere!!!
Lots of spices...
Our lunch was probably the best thing I have eaten since I have been abroad...chicken with a sweet almond crust. As we walked out of the restaurant, Maggie and I wanted to sneak a half-eaten piece of chicken. Every last crumb counts, right?! We were SO CLOSE to snatching it and saving it for a little afternoon snack, but we decided that probably wasn't the best idea.
GOAT CHEESE...
We spent our afternoon in Tetuan.
My blue snakeskin Danskos have found their long-lost cousins...
Our tour guide was quite impressive...and he knew over five languages. Big water bottle in hand because we were not able to drink the tap water in Morocco.
I got a little carried away with selfies in the grocery store...
DESSERT IS SPELLED THE SAME IN ALL LANGUAGES: YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!!
Catherine, these Kindereggs reminded me of you and our trip with your dad to Southern Season.
What would life be like if we couldn't laugh at ourselves? Sometimes I do things and I just can't help but laugh at myself. Let me assure you that I crack up every time I look at this picture...boy, am I am thankful for laughter! I was so pumped to see a cereal made with a candy bar, so I placed my camera across the aisle for a self-timer picture...and little did I know that a new friend would want to hop in. This poor little girl is probably thinking WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS STRANGER DOING? But now I'll always have this memory in the Moroccan grocery store!!!
