Yesterday was Mom's birthday...and since I couldn't be in Raleigh for it, I had to celebrate here in Spain by myself!!! What a blessing she is in my life!! Such an AWESOME mother, wife, daughter, friend, mentor, and follower of Christ. Had to get a little frozen yogurt treat...and saved a little chocolate on my lip for later!!!
Chloe, Eric, Emily, Tim, and I went to the archaeology museum for a project for our Art and Culture class.
Sweet Chloe makes everything a little more fun!!!
One of the exhibits...
Popped in a little grocery store, and Cheesemachine92 was in heaven with the huge selection of cheeses!!!
We acted out a play (La Casa de Bernarda Alba) in our literature class, and Coro brought us some "costumes"....
As part of the community service aspect of our program, Carly and I went to a special grocery store that offers food at discount prices.
We made friends with one of the other volunteers, and he helped us learn how to package sausage.
We didn't quite know what we had gotten ourselves into...
